Simulations of drawing hands

Simulations for 1 player

I put up this article to help you understand the fluctuations regarding the wins and losses in Texas Hold'em, and that you will sometimes lose a long period even if your pot odds are good enough. You will see that what you have read earlier applies: That nothing is reliable until we have played enough hands to reduce luck to the minimum. Especially when you are playing marginal hands.

If you have read my previous articles in the "Fixed limit" section you should know how to fill in this form correctly. And if you don't know how to do it, please use the links in the form for more information.

NB!

  • You must type decimals as ".", not "," otherwise the program will omit the number after the decimal.
  • To make this as easy as possible we assume that you have to call $1 to see the turn card which means that you are playing at a $0.5/$1 FL table.

TYPE IN YOUR NUMBERS HERE!

How many hands do you want to simulate? (50 000 max)

What are the odds against making your hand? X:1 - fill in the value for X, for example 4.22 if you have an open flush draw. You can use the odds table at the end of this page if you need help with these values..

How many outs have you got?

What are your pot odds? X:1 - fill in the value for X, for example 6.5 if you have to call $1 to win $6.5.
